PERSONALITY DIMENSIONS® PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS

Introductory workshop - Building Blocks for Better Communication

In this foundation workshop, participants learn to:

  • understand self and others
  • understand their strengths and not so strong areas
  • recognise and understand the strengths and preferences of others
  • improve communications
  • realise that differences are “gifts” not faults

Program 1 – Building Better Teams

It takes time to build a great team. Personality Dimensions® can facilitate effective communication and shared understanding of team goals and objectives, as well as necessary conditions for personal productivity. This program of workshops helps your managers and staff to recognise the strengths and challenges of various communication styles. Participants will learn to adjust their style of communication to be better heard by diverse team-mates, improving efficiency and minimising unproductive conflict.

‘Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress.Working together is success’
- Henry Ford

Program 2 – Leadership Development

Personality Dimensions® can help your organisation to enhance the skills of the existing leadership team and develop new leaders from within. Leaders will learn to identify their work styles and preferences, communicate more effectively with their staff, peers, and customers, motivate team members to achieve extraordinary results and facilitate transformational organisational change.

‘Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things’
- Peter Drucker

Program 3 – Sales, Marketing and Customer Service

Personality Dimensions® can help your organisation design effective sales and marketing campaigns and customer service programs that recognise and accommodate the diverse preferences and communication styles of customers. By enhancing understanding of individual styles and preferences, your organisation can learn techniques to conduct more effective sales meetings, increase sales closures and meet the needs of diverse customers.

‘In the modern world of business, it is useless to be a creative original thinker unless you can also sell what you create. Management cannot be expected to recognise a good idea unless it is presented to them by a good sales person’
- David M. Ogilvy

Program 4 – Work-Life Balance

Many people identify finding work-life balance as their number one problem in today’s busy world. Whether juggling a new career and a young family, supporting aging parents, engaging in professional development, or managing some other combination of challenging roles, the demands and pressures can be great. Through identifying ways that they prioritise their roles and responsibilities, Personality Dimensions® can help your managers and staff to identify what “balance” means to them. They can then learn how to create and maintain a life that is in balance and personally fulfilling.

‘Always leave time in your life to do something that makes you happy, satisfied, even joyous. That has more of an effect on economic well being-being than any other single factor’
-
Paul Hawker

Program 5 – Career Building

Effective career management involves several key components. These include:

  • personal reflection
  • identifying career possibilities
  • researching changes in the workplace
  • making career decisions and implementing action plans
  • achieving career success and job satisfaction.

Personality Dimensions® also fosters insights into others’ perspectives and into the corporate culture. This recognition of the needs of employers and colleagues contributes to career success by minimising workplace conflicts and maximising productivity.

‘Work while you have the light. You are responsible for the talent that has been entrusted to you’.
- Henri Frederic Amiel

Program 6 – Conflict Management

In life and work, conflict is hard to avoid and, for many, difficult to work through and/or resolve. Knowing our personal responses to conflict and how we approach resolving or managing conflict situations can help minimise the negative effects it can have on our lives.

Conflict is often a product of personality differences; as such, Personality Dimensions® can help people recognise and adjust to the diverse ways others will experience, manage and seek to resolve conflict.

‘Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional’
- Max Lucado

Program 7 – Learning and Teaching/Training Styles

Personality Dimensions® can help trainers, educators, students and lifelong learners to recognise and accommodate diverse learning styles. Educators and course developers can use the Personality Dimensions® model to examine techniques and learning environments in terms of appropriateness for diverse learners. Students can use the model to identify personal learning preferences and environments that will maximise their learning experience

‘The only person who is educated is the one who has learned to learn; the person who has learned to adapt and change; the person who has realised that knowledge is secure; that the only process of seeking knowledge gives a basis for security’
- Carl Rogers, ‘Freedom to Learn’ 1969
